Feed The Need Co-Captain
Coordinate with BCS Development Director and Feed The Need personnel to organize and implement annual fall fundraiser. Serve as a reference person to provide whatever assistance Feed The Need requires from BCS.
NEEDS ~20 VOLUNTEERS
Feed The Need Captains:
Sponsorship Captain –
Facilitate the process of acquiring sponsorships through appeals to families and local businesses. Oversees the potential of underwriting and corporate sponsor donations.
Day of Event Captain –
Facilitate the Packing Party arrangements. Recruits a team of volunteers for the day of the event. Assists with the Kick-off Parties.
Classroom Captain –
Facilitate in engaging families with the Feed The Need campaign. Assist with organizing classroom competitions (e.g. Door Decorating contest) and communicating with Room Parents.
Data Captain –
Coordinate and oversee the data entry of donations. Create and manage reports on a weekly basis during the campaign time period.
Facilitate prayers for unity, protection & favor over all involved with the campaign. Launch 10 day schoolwide prayer drive, and conduct 24 hour prayer & worship campaign before Packing Day.
Pumpkin Patch Coordinators – October 1, 2016
Coordinate the delivery and set up of the pumpkin patch in October. Create a schedule and facilitate volunteers to work shifts in the pumpkin patch.
The BCS Pumpkin Patch is an awesome fall photo-op for children of all ages! There are no tricks here! Plus, you get your choice of any size pumpkin! Proceeds go to fund the Middle School Washington D.C. trip.

Great Pumpkin Day Coordinator – October 22, 2016
Coordinate and work cooperatively with RVCC on the event. Coordinate event volunteers. An awesome Fall Festival sponsored by our own PTF and Rio Vista Community Church’s FX Family Experience. Bounce houses, carnival food and atmosphere, games, pumpkin carving contest, face painting, you name it! The only way to welcome the fall weather!
Snow Day – January 2017
Each year, the Bethany Christian School PTF works hard to put on a special Snow Day for the students. The younger children start learning about the seasons and start the countdown to this important occasion while the older kids just look forward to breaking away from their studies for a moment to play in the snow.
First thing in the morning, a truck brings in the snow and parents volunteer to make sledding hills. Frosty even shows up for a few runs on his sled and to take photos with the kids. The PTF and parents also provide the best of winter goodies for the kids to indulge on this very special day. There’s nothing like hot chocolate, ice cream, snowflake and mitten cookies, and smores to make it really feel like winter. For more information contact Sarah Sherman at email@example.com.
BCS Hungry Games – March 10, 2017
The Hungry Games II Co-Chair
Provide leadership for the planning and development of the annual spring auction fundraiser. Oversee the various fundraiser chairs and provide necessary feedback on their projects.

Hungry Games Chairs:
Sponsorship Chair –
Facilitate the process of acquiring sponsorships through appeals to families and local businesses.
Acquisitions Chair –
Facilitate acquisitions process. Serve as a point of contact for donations. Send/fax donation requests.
Games & Challenges Chair –
Coordinate event arrangements including the design of the course and number of stops, creating the games and challenges for each stop, working with the Volunteer Coordinator and arranging for volunteers at event, and any other relevant event details as it pertains to the games and challenges.
Publicity Chair –
Coordinate the creation of flyers and correspondence. Send materials through various marketing channels when appropriate. Also serves as liaison with printer, invitation design, design and printing of signage with event.
Volunteer Chair –
Facilitate volunteer coordination for all aspects of the Hungry Games leading up to the event and the night of the event through personal communication and web sign up.
Invitation Coordinator –
Facilitate the design and creation of the Save the Date card and Event Invitation. Coordinate with the Chair and Co-Chair on budget and design. Secure a printer and coordinate the mailing of the final invitation.
FTL St. Patrick’s Day Parade Float Committee –
Bethany Christian School will be entering a float in the March 2017 St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Come and join the fun as the PTF moms and dads design, plan and construct this flagship float.
DATE: March 1-March 11 (PARADE DATE: SATURDAY, MARCH 11, 2017)
This is a fun way to meet new people and be part of the fun during Downtown Fort Lauderdale’s St. Patrick’s Day festivities. This free event has quickly grown into one of Fort Lauderdale’s largest and most anticipated festivals, attracting thousands of spectators for a one-of-a-kind celebration of all things Irish. In addition to the parade, there will be plenty of additional festivities to enjoy including the St. Patrick’s Festival, from 10 a.m. until 7:00 pm at Huizenga Plaza and along the Riverwalk. Highlights include bounce houses, pony rides, face painting, food, live bands, Irish dancers, interactive entertainment, and cultural attractions.

Teacher Appreciation Luncheon Coordinator
Plan and organize the end of the year Teacher Appreciation Luncheon. Determine location, theme and menu. Prepare party favors and coordinate volunteers for various jobs leading up to and day of event.
At the end of the year, the Bethany Christian School PTF likes to celebrate and thank the teachers for all their hard work and sacrifices they make for our children. There is a separate budget for this event and we love to shower them with thanks and praise during National Teacher Appreciation Week, and a special luncheon at the end of the year.
